SUNNY HILL FESTIVAL: How a live show managed and controlled the event

Scheduled for the 10th, 11th and 12th of August 2018, Sunny Hill was the biggest festival organized in Kosovo until today.
The music festival headlined by three big international names: Dua Lipa, Martin Garrix, Action Bronson and a few other Kosovar and international artists. It brought the world to Kosovo!

Sunny Hill had a vision. A flexible ticketing system saved the team more time and energy to fully commit to bring it to life.

The Challenge

Sunny Hill event organizers aimed at progressing Sunny Hill from a concert to a high-standard festival, putting Prishtina and Kosovo on the festival map and attracting an international audience. 25% of the festival proceeds were donated to the charity Sunny Hill Foundation, which works for young people in Kosovo and is under the patronage of Dua Lipa, a Kosovar herself.

To achieve these goals, it was crucial to have a customizable and affordable event ticketing solution. The main event organization requirements were:

1. Online sales with different ticketing categories (early bird, group tickets, family tickets);
2. Point of sale solution for ticket distribution in key locations around the country;
3. Multiple check-in points solution ensuring the security of the event and fraud prevention.

To tighten the security at the event, Sunny Hill Festival used the adaptable forms feature during the ticketing purchasing process to register additional information about the attendees, so each ticket was associated with a name and ID which could be verified at check-in.
The festival sold tickets not only online but also at 12 physical points of sales, across the country, with no need for specific hardware. This is a great example of remote reams working and collaborating together to great results.

For the check-in operations, Last2Ticket provided a pain-free solution consisting of a 100% digital check-in. The ticket validator reads the QR codes of all ticket types (either digital or printed) in a matter of seconds and ensured a smooth attendee experience. Furthermore, the event organizers could control and manage the entries in real time and with ID verification.
